Steven Management Spam Policy
In order to provide the best possible business opportunity for our clients, and a high level of integrity, Steven Management has adopted a Zero Tolerance Spam Policy. We do not condone or engage in Spam and do not tolerate Spam of any form.
What is SPAM?
SPAM is any electronic message which is directed toward a company or person(s) who has not requested or agreed to receive information through a VERIFIABLE “opt-in” process giving their permission to be contacted. SPAM comes in many different forms and includes, but may not be limited to:
Unsolicited electronic communications (e-mail);
Bulletin boards, user groups or instant messaging services to individuals or businesses who do not know you personally.
Opt-out forms where a person is specifically required to request removal from a mailing list through a long, involved process or filling out another form, in order to prevent future solicitation. Be aware, some opt-out processes are actually verifications that your e-mail address is current so they can put you on another list and sell your information. Be sure the opt-out link you clink on if from a recognized and credible company like AWeber .
Hiring a company that is mailing out to a list of people with your opportunity that did not specifically request to receive your information beforehand (third party bulk e-mailing).
Promoting your site on FFA (Free For all) sites and similar programs which have a high risk of generating SPAM complaints due to the nature of the program. Many people who put their links on FFA sites don’t realize that the tons of e-mail they get is simply a result of posting their links, then they complain of SPAM.
Faxes and mobile advertising, which are unsolicited by the recipient, are also considered SPAM.
Any SOLICITED mass communication (as with Opt-in e-mail lists) which does not contain the required instructions for unsubscribing and removal from the list.
The use of a mailing list in which the recipients’ e-mail, ISP, and other personal information was “harvested” electronically when they visited the site.
SPAM can be a single e-mail or a bulk mailing, so it can include your own list if the e-mail is sent to a recipient who would not have a reasonable expectation of receiving e-mail from you.
Simply put, an e-mail is SPAM if it has been sent to an address that was not agreed to by the recipient. SPAM is an issue about CONSENT, not CONTENT. It doesn’t matter if the message is your offer to promote a business with a “free” give away. If it was sent UNSOLICITED, then it is SPAM.
SPAM is a negative form of advertising that not only is ineffective, but it tarnishes the name of the company employing that technique.
AWeber
It is because of the very nature of spamming, and to maintain a high level of integrity, Steven Management has elected to use a software program to collect names and e-mail addresses of those that would like us to stay in touch with them. There are many good companies out there. But, we choose AWeber because it has a “double-opt” in process and an easy, one-click “opt-out” link. We think there is nothing more irritating than having to contact a company and spend hours trying to get off their mailing list.
Here’s a link to AWeber , in case you’d like to check them out. We did a lot of research and testing and found them to be one of the best, and they are probably used by more companies than any other program.
As I said, we take spamming seriously. So, if you ever feel that you have received anything from us, or any of our support affiliates, please let us know and we will correct it immediately.
